Yesterday I queued to use a cash machine.
When the woman in front of me finally got her turn at the machine she took out money with one card and then checked the balance of two other accounts (each with their own card). Three cards. Three times the typical duration of a cash machine visit.
I took a note of her pin numbers.
If you’re using a busy cash machine then you have a responsibility not to inconvenience anyone else. If you need to make three transactions with three different cards, then you need to queue three times. I can’t think of a fairer system than that.
I don’t care if you ‘just need a quick look’ at your ‘other account’ – get to the back of the line.
